About the Club or Amateurs of Art in Gdynia

Sample of artworkThe Club of Amateurs of Art in Gdynia has existed for 30 years. The members of the Club are schizophrenic patients and two patients after the brain operation and depression. We have collected a lot of works done by them /drawings, paintings, collages, sculptures/. I have organised a lot of exhibitions of these works in Gdynia, Poland and abroad. Although I have been with the patients for so many years, some of them have not yet confided their great secrets to me. Some of them have expressed their suicidal ideas in their creative pictorial and literary works. They like to write poems or short stories.

The paper is a comparison of the pathography of pictorial works with a lot of schizophrenic style and literary creativity by the same persons. Some of them have not expressed  their suicidal ideas in their creative pictorial and literary works.
