The Uruguayan Society of Psychiatry was founded on November 8th, 1923. It is the association of the Psychiatrists of the country. Its mission is to develop the scientific analysis of the theoretical and practical aspects of the Psychiatry (clinical, psychopathologic, educational and of assistance). It will also contribute to elaborate conclusions on the educational, forensic and clinical practice. These activities are carried out through congresses, scientific sessions and publications.
It was credited by the School of Medicine on December 2003 to organize CME activities.
