The ISPS (International Society for Psychological and Social Approaches for Psychosis) recently held its eighteenth international conference in Warsaw with 400 participants from more than 30 countries. The conference underlined the advances being made in understanding psychosis from psychological and social perspectives. It also emphasized the important role of experts with experience of psychosis in conferences and publications in educating professionals as to what interventions they experience as helpful and unhelpful in supporting their recovery and rehabilitation. Our next international conference will be held in Manhattan, New York in March 2015.
The ISPS now has its own journal, Psychosis and a major book series on the psychological approaches to the psychoses. Regional networks have their own membership and conferences and other activities. More information can be found at www.isps.org
