The Annual Meeting of the Psychiatric Association of Bosnia-Herzegovina, entitled the Теnth Psychiatry Days Teslić 2010 was held on 26-27 March 2010 in Banja Vrućica Spa, near the City Teslić with the main topic being “Anxiety Disorders”. It was organised by the Psychiatric Association of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Psychiatric Clinic of Banja Luka Clinical Centre.
As with the one held last year in Banja Luka, this year's Symposium in Teslić was very successful. During the two days over 140 professionals in the field of mental health from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina attended 16 lectures and five sponsored mini Symposia that covered all actual aspects of anxiety and its comorbidity as a very common disorder in our country – during very difficult times after the war and in times of transition. The lecturers were from Bosnia and Hercegovina Universities, Clinics and Community Mental Health Centres along with invited Professors from the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Serbia, signifying the Psychiatric Days. Welcome speeches were made by officials from the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs of the Republic of Srpska and Banja Luka Clinical Centre, which indicated the importance of the Symposia. The participants recieved a Certificate of Attendance with CME Credits.
During the Symposium, the guests, lecturers, and participants had enough time to enjoy the natural beauties of Vrućica Spa and also the great atmosphere of the newly renovated Congress Hotel “Kardial”, which has a long tradition in organizing Congresses.
The Gala Dinner officially promoted the existence of the Psychiatric Association of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the participants enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere the food and pleasant music programme.
After Psychiatry Days Teslić 2010 the organisers concluded that Psychiatric Days was indeed succesful and that such a Symposium will continue to be held in the future.
