Submission guidelines

 

  • Deadline: September 1, 2020

  • Manuscript length: 3500 words excluding references

  • Submission process: submit your manuscript as a .docx document to both guest editors via email: cesaralfonso@mac.com and botbolmichel@orange.fr

  • Description: Full-length reports of current research in either basic or clinical science. For research articles, the text should be arranged as follows: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgment, References, and when relevant, Supporting Information.

  • Spelling. The journal uses US spelling

  • Abbreviations. Must be used sparingly – only where they ease the reader’s task by reducing repetition of long, technical terms. Initially use the word in full, followed by the abbreviation in parentheses. Thereafter use the abbreviation only.

  • Title page. The title page should contain: (i) a short informative title that contains the major key words. (ii) the full names of the authors. (iii) the author's institutional affiliations at which the work was carried out; (iv) the full postal and email address, plus telephone number, of the author to whom correspondence about the manuscript should be sent; (v) acknowledgements; (vi) disclosure statement; (vi) word count.

  • Abstract. 250 words maximum, structured: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion.

  • Main text. The main text file should be presented in the following order: (i) title, abstract and key words, (ii) main text (For research articles, the text should be arranged as follows: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion), (iii) references (APA style), (iv) tables (each table complete with title and footnotes) (v) figure legends, (vi) appendices (if relevant). Figures and supporting information should be supplied as separate files. Footnotes to the text are not allowed and any such material should be incorporated into the text as parenthetical matter.

  • Keywords. Five key words, for the purposes of indexing, should be supplied below the abstract, in alphabetical order.

  • References. References must follow the APA style.

  • Tables. Tables should be self-contained and complement, but not duplicate, information in the main text.

  • Figure Legends. Legends should be concise but comprehensive – the figure and its legend must be understandable without reference to the text. Include definitions of any symbols used and define/explain all abbreviations and units of measurement.
