The WPA logo is the exclusive property of the World Psychiatric Association (WPA).
It is protected under Swiss trademark law, international trademark law (where applicable), and copyright law.
All rights are reserved. Unauthorized use of the WPA logo is strictly prohibited.
The WPA logo may only be used:
- By official WPA bodies and structures, or
- With prior written authorization from WPA.
The logo may be used only in official contexts such as:
- WPA communications
- WPA Sections and Committees
- WPA publications
- Official WPA meetings and congresses
- Co-sponsored events (subject to approval)
The logo must never create confusion regarding endorsement, partnership, or institutional approval.
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Modifying, distorting, recoloring, cropping, or redesigning the logo
- Combining it with other logos or visual identities
- Using it for political, commercial, or promotional purposes without authorization
- Using it in misleading or inappropriate contexts
Only official logo files provided directly by WPA may be used.
- Authorized formats will be supplied upon approval
- High-resolution master files are not publicly available
- Direct downloading of editable files is restricted
- Files may contain embedded ownership metadata
Scientific sections logos are governed by WPA policy. Unless otherwise authorized:
- Sections may not create modified versions of the WPA logo
- Independent graphic adaptations are not permitted

Use is permitted only after written confirmation from WPA.
WPA reserves the right to monitor use of its logo. In cases of unauthorized use, WPA may:
- Request immediate removal
- Issue formal notice
- Pursue legal remedies where necessary
Use of the WPA logo does not imply endorsement, partnership, or institutional affiliation unless expressly confirmed in writing by WPA.
