Three new webinars are now available on the WPA Education Portal
WPA continues its commitment to providing informative and relevant webinars on a regular basis to the mental health community. As part of the WPA webinar series, three new webinars are now available on WPA’s Education Portal.
Webinar 1: Advances in Pharmacological Treatment (Took place: Monday 25th April 2022 at 2pm CEST)
Prof Istvan Bitter (Hungary) and Prof Robin Emsley (South Africa) explore managing treatment resistant schizophrenia and the emergence of treatment resistance and illness progression associated with treatment discontinuation in schizophrenia.
Webinar 2: Update on Vascular Cognitive Impairment and Lewy Body Dementia (Took place: Wednesday 4th May 2022 at 2pm CEST)
Prof Ramalingam Chithiramohan and Dr Shabbir Amanullah present on the issues around accurate diagnosis of these two commonly encountered clinical presentations of Dementias.
Webinar 3: Schizophrenia
(Took place: Monday 16th May 2022 at 2pm CEST)
During this webinar, Prof Matcheri Keshavan and Prof Sir Robin Murray review the evidence for cognitive enhancement therapies and their mode of action, making recommendations for individualized implementation strategies. The topics covered include computer-based exercises, psychotherapeutic group activities, and pharmacological interventions, as well as efforts to implement cognitive enhancement approaches in community settings.
