Undertaking scientific and social research - and sharing the findings of that research - are key to WPA's mission to advance psychiatry and mental health across the world.  WPA's 66 Scientific Sections, covering practically every aspect of psychiatry, are charged with the collection, analysis, presentation and dissemination of information concerning services, research and training.  With increasing focus on evidence-based care, it is vital to use this peer-reviewed research to educate and empower psychiatrists, patients, caregivers and communities.  Through WPA's education programs and partnerships, this is becoming a reality across the globe.
