World Psychiatric Association eJournal Club
Issue 01 2023

Welcome to the first edition of the “WPA e-Journal Club” for 2023.

This project consists of commentaries concerning the most relevant articles selected from the main scientific journals in psychiatry. WPA is committed to sharing the current scientific updates with our members, and keeping our membership regularly informed about recent advances in the various scientific domains of psychiatry and mental health.

These commentaries and the link to the respective article that they concern, will continue to be disseminated to the WPA membership worldwide through this regular scientific bulletin, the WPA e-Journal Club. We are proud that this is a unique, regular and long-lasting opportunity to disseminate scientific updates to health professionals alike, enabling them to examine and use critical knowledge, reflections, and recommendations for clinical practice in psychiatry, that come from recent articles from several top scientific journals in psychiatry.

Importantly, this WPA e-Journal Club is supporting the WPA Early Career Psychiatrists members (involved as faculty) to learn how to comment on scientific papers and improve their skills in critical appraisal of scientific research, in medical writing, reviewing and editing commentaries, preparing a summary, and strengthening their leadership within their future professional life.

Happy readings!
