Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders that often lasts into adulthood. Individuals with ADHD have trouble paying attention, controlling impulsive behaviors and may be over-active. Comorbid psychiatric disorders are common in individuals with ADHD (e.g., depression, anxiety, addictions, learning disabilities) further impacting academic achievement, social development and employment.

ADHD is therefore a major health, social, and educational handicap with life-long sequelae. Consequently, there is a need to understand the neurobiological basis of ADHD and further the development of effective interventions. We are scientists and clinicians dedicated to understanding and treating ADHD and comorbid conditions working as a section to provide the latest information and facilitate discussions on the neurobiology of ADHD and treatment advances.
