The EDIT principles in the 2023-2026 Action Plan, while maintaining the highest standards of Intellectual and Scientific Excellence stand for:
E : Equality across genders, ages and ethnicities
D : Developmental stages from childhood to adulthood and beyond
I : Inclusion of under-represented groups
T :Transcultural awareness and perspectives
As a proactive and transformative step towards a more inclusive and culturally competent field of psychiatry, the key function of the EDIT Committee is to make sure that the EDIT guidelines will be applied to all WPA activities.
The WPA Edit Committee consist of experts from the different zones and regions across the world who have been selected by the President, Professor Wasserman.
