TelePSI: Providing support for front line health workers facing COVID-19

The Ministry of Health, Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre and several Brazilian institutions such as WPA member society, Associação de Psiquiatria do Rio Grande do Sul, have come together to


The project is called TelePSI and provides evidence-based training materials for psychologists and psychiatrists providing help to health workers facing increased levels of anxiety, depression, and irritability. The projects are embedded in large clinical trials for treatment and prevention of mental health problems in health workers facing COVID-19, and aim to provide 10,000 support calls for this population.


Materials from the program as well as links to the training materials are all available for download in WPA's COVID-19 Resource Library.
