A Thank You Message from the President
With our second digital world congress now safely & successfully completed, I’d like to take the time, on behalf of the Organising and Scientific Committees of the 21st WPA World Congress of Psychiatry (WCP21), to thank every one of our friends, attendees, and partners who made this event possible.
More than 2500 registered participants from 110 different countries joined us this week and I am delighted that we have yet again managed to offer such a diverse programme of content. With 197 sessions, 533 speakers and 851 ePosters, there really was something for everyone. We were also delighted to be able to award 39 fellowships to young psychiatrists from 28 countries to help support them in their careers and research work.
As we are continuing to adapt to new ways of working, we feel that we were able to further build on our WCP 20 congress experiences and offer an innovative and truly immersive experience. One where you could benefit from up-to-date research data, the best lectures from experts in all fields of mental health, high-quality scientific content, and quality interactions with your peers. We are very grateful that you took time out of your busy schedule to participate, especially as we are all yearning for face-to-face events, and we hope you found the Congress and the scientific programme both stimulating and enriching.
We would like to say a special thank you to our valued member partners, the Colombian Association of Psychiatry, and the Psychiatric Association of Latin America for supporting this virtual event. We would also like to thank our fantastic speakers, presenters, contributors, and moderators, all of whom contributed greatly to the programme.

Once again, thank you for your time and participation and we look forward to welcoming everyone, hopefully in-person next time, at the 22nd WPA World Congress of Psychiatry on the 3-6th August 2022 in Bangkok!
